Ingredients

  • 1 tsp olive oil

  • 2 tsp garlic, minced

  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 2 large portobello mushroom caps

  • 1/4 cup tomato or marinara sauce

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • 4 basil leaves, chopped


Directions

  1. Preheat oven to broil. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a small bowl mix together oil, garlic, and Italian seasoning.

  3. Brush bottoms and tops of mushrooms with olive oil mixture. Place mushrooms bottom-side-down on baking sheet.

  4. Top each mushroom cap with 1/4 cup tomato/marinara sauce and 1/2 cup cheese.

  5. Broil 8 minutes or until cheese is melted and lightly browned.

  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle with basil before serving.
