Ingredients

  • 1 cup dry oats

  • 2-1/2 cups water

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt


Directions

  1. In a blender or food processor combine oats and water. Allow to soak for 5 minutes.

  2. Blend or process until the mixture is smooth.

  3. For best results (and a toastier flavor) use a seasoned/lightly-oiled cast iron pan. Preheat over medium heat. Cooking time will be longer if you use a non-stick pan.

  4. Pour 1/3 cup batter into the center of the pan in a circular motion to form a tortilla shape.

  5. Cook for 3-1/2 to 4 minutes per side or until the top is bubbly and the edges start to lift. Flipping too soon will cause the tortilla to break apart.

  6. Repeat with remaining batter to make 8 total tortillas. The batter will thicken as it sits so you may need to blend again before pouring each tortilla.
