1-1/2 lbs ground turkey, 97% lean
2 Tbsp old-fashioned oats, pulsed in blender
1/4 cup finely diced onion
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 Tbsp chopped parsley
1 small garlic clove, peeled and minced
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/8 tsp ground pepper
1 Tbsp olive oil
4 slices whole wheat or other GOLO-approved bread
Sliced tomatoes, onions and lettuce
In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, onions, oats, eggs, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper.
Form into 4 patties.
Grease pan or grill with olive oil.
Cook or grill over medium heat.
Toast bread and prepare an open-faced sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and 1 patty per serving.
