2 Tbsp tamari/soy sauce or coconut aminos
1/2 tsp honey (maple syrup for vegan version)
1-1/2 Tbsp rice vinegar
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 tsp ginger, grated
1/2 Tbsp corn starch
1 Tbsp water
Pepper to taste
1 tsp olive oil
Red pepper or chili flakes (optional)
Whisk ingredients together in a bowl.
Add to saucepan and warm over medium heat until sauce starts to thicken.
Remove from heat and use immediately or allow to cool for storage.
