Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp ground ginger

  • 1-1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp all spice

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1/2 Tbsp maple syrup

  • 4 tsp butter


Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and all spice. Mix well.

  2. Add milk, egg, vanilla and maple syrup. Mix until smooth.

  3. Melt 1 tsp butter per serving in frying pan over medium heat. Scoop 1/2 cup batter into pan. Cook 2 minutes, until bubbles cover pancake.

  4. Flip and cook the other side until golden-brown.
